Beautiful Vintage Hand Embroidered Picture

This really is a fab fing! This vintage hand embroidered picture ticks all the boxes for today's interior design trends, being colourful, stylised, vintage, handmade, crafty and circular. It measures 35cm in diameter and has a wooden frame. The frame is painted cream with gold crosses and could be left 'shabby chic' or could be refreshed perhaps with gold paint. It has a very old looking Boots picture framing label on the back. Boots is a nationwide chemist in the UK, but did offer a picture framing service from 1894 to 1963. This picture probably dates to the early 20th century. The embroidery itself is in excellent condition with just a light water mark to the edge near the frame, but this is not very noticeable. It's a lovely depiction of springtime and would make the perfect gift for someone who is wanting to learn how to embroider. It has lots of different and very precise stitches and the scene is very symetrical and stylised, making it much more special. A beautiful piece of history.
