Antique green leaf Majolica ceramic plate by Wedgwood, dated to 1868. Beautiful and intricate relief design of entwined vines of leaves and tendrils with a basket background. It's possibly depicting a cucumber plant and, therefore, this plate, or shallow dish, may have been intended for serving sliced cucumber in vinegar and sugar. 21cm in diameter. Perfect condition but it does have a manufacturing fault: one small white patch on the rim where the glaze was missed.
